Pondera Solutions, a Google Enterprise partner focused on implementing fraud analytics for government agencies nationwide, will present a panel, “Inside the Mind of the White Collar Criminal” at the Annual National Association for Medicaid Program Integrity (NAMPI) Conference on Aug. 29 in Baltimore.
Sharon E. Ormsby, the Arizona Health Care Cost Containment System (AHCCCS) Inspector General, is among the panelists joining Pondera.
Amanda Huston, Pondera’s Vice President of Service Delivery, will moderate the panel discussion that includes insights from Chuck Gallagher, a convicted felon who orchestrated a Ponzi scheme in the 1980s. Gallagher, who was released from federal prison in 1996, will share the lessons he learned and provide insight into what motivates good, honest people to commit white-collar crimes.
“We are committed to identifying and preventing fraud, abuse, and waste in government programs – including Medicaid – and being able to better understand the minds of white-collar criminals is an important step to take when trying to solve this pervasive problem that costs taxpayers billions of dollars each year,” said Jon Coss, Pondera Solutions Chief Executive Officer.
Other panelists include: William Avery, Senior Fraud & Risk Manager at Pondera; Mark Leon, Director of Intelligence at Pondera; and Bruce Lim, Deputy Director of Audits and Investigations in the California Department of Health Care Services.
Pondera will also demonstrate how to leverage the power of cloud computing and advanced analytics to combat fraud, waste, and abuse in large government programs during the panel discussion.
The Annual NAMPI Conference is the premier Medicaid integrity conference in the United States. It will be held at the Baltimore Marriott Waterfront Hotel on Aug. 28-31.
